In 2002, there were two friends, Gene and Linda, who both had a passion for numbers and finance. They met at Queen Mary university while studying accounting and quickly bonded over their shared interest.
After graduation, they both landed jobs at separate accounting firms across the country, but they stayed in touch and would often discuss their work with each other.
They both soon realized that there was a gap in the market for an accounting firm that truly cared about their clients and went above and beyond to meet their needs.
One day, Gene and Linda decided to quit their jobs and start their own accounting agency. They used their savings to rent a small office space and invest in the necessary equipment and software. They also reached out to their network and were able to secure a few clients in the beginning.
As GGP grew, it began to take on more and more clients and was able to expand its team.
They hired other accountants, bookkeepers, and administrative staff to help with the workload. They also began to specialize in certain industries, such as real estate, retail and e-commerce, and technology.
Gene and Linda’s approach to accounting was different from the competition. They not only did the traditional tax and compliance work, but they also worked closely with clients to help them understand their financials and make informed business decisions. They also provided additional services such as financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
21 years have passed since the friends first met, 15 years since GGP was first founded and we couldn’t be happier serving our customers.
